This tutorial uses html5 audio tags instead of flash. When I have time, I plan to convert most or all flash on my website to html5.

I added sound samples to show off the free VST instruments/effects listed on the LMMS tutorial on where to get VST instruments/effects and how to add them page. I used the html5 audio tags instead of Flash. I like these tags because they use less code then the xspf jukebox flash audio player I’ve been using. I may use audio tags for the rest of my site but I haven’t decided yet as html5 isn’t supported by many browsers yet (I believe Firefox 3.5+ and later versions of safari work with them). I think I can get away with it because most of my website visitors use Firefox. Users that don’t see the audio player will be able to download audio as ogg, (maybe mp3 if people want me to).

Another LMMS tutorial, this one can teach you how to sidechain. Sidechaining is a neat technique where an instrument’s volume is lowered when a kick drum is played. I had to learn how to sidechain before making this tutorial.

Made another LMMS tutorial, this one explains how to automate pan knobs and tempo. Feel free to use automation for the other knobs as well. This tutorial took longer then usual as I had no idea how to use automation in LMMS and had to learn how to do it first. Hehehe…

I made a new tutorial on how to use samples not included with LMMS. I recently released 2 drum sample packs and figured a tutorial would be useful.
