On October 10th, I received an email telling me my “AdSense account
poses a risk of generating invalid activity”. I tried to log into my Adsense account, the login page says my account was disabled.
I looked into this further, they said I can send them an appeal to try and re-instate my account.
Today (October 20th), They declined my appeal which means my account is disabled for good. I can’t appeal again…
I’m very frustrated… From the moment I signed up for Adsense, I tried to follow their terms and conditions. I don’t click on my Adsense ads, if I did, it wasn’t on purpose. I went even farther to tell my friends NOT to click on my Adsense ads.
My guess as to why my account was disabled:
Google Adsense doesn’t recommend the use of traffic exchanges as they may lead to invalid clicks or impressions and result in your account being disabled.
I use traffic exchanges to advertise the following webpage:
http://brycecoulson.com/turning_point_preview.html
As you can see, the above page has NO google ads. I left the ads off so I could advertise my music album in Traffic Exchanges. All my other pages had Google ads, but I don’t advertise my Adsense pages in Traffic Exchanges.
Anyone looking at my Google Analytics would know that I use Traffic Exchanges, maybe they saw this but didn’t investigate further.
I don’t make a lot of money and every little bit helps. I had $50 in my Adsense account but I ended up receiving nothing. They refunded the money to their advertisers.
Google, I really like your services but my experience with Adsense lowered my opinion of you.
I’m forced to try some other way of making money from ads, maybe something in this list of alternatives to Google Adsense:
