I finally make a gameplay video of Distant Empires and uploaded it to YouTube. For those who don’t know about this, its a game my brother and I have been working on for several years now. Check it out!
My Blog – Projects, Music, Website
I recently made a web design for my dad’s new website: http://www.garlandcoulson.com
Click on an image to see the full size.
I uploaded project files for some of my LMMS tutorials:
- (mmpz) Adding instruments, melodies and drums.
- (mmpz) How to create glitch drums.
- (mmpz) How to make breakbeat drums from scratch.
- (mmpz) How to use a reverse crash cymbal as a buildup.
- (mmpz) How to use 3 4 timing to make bouncy music.
- (mmpz) How to automate panning and tempo.
- (mmpz) How to sidechain using the FX-Mixer and a peak controller.
I added a project file link to the bottom of each tutorial. I hope this helps someone out!
Nathan (my brother) found a way to make Distant Empires faster but he will have to rewrite a lot of code. So it’ll be quite a while before we release Distant Empires.
We’ve been working on this game for maybe 2 years now, it may seem like it’ll never get done but we’ll get it out there someday. The longer we work on the game the more we learn and the better the game gets, so that’s good
I’d like the game to be some kind of space conquest game while Nate wants the game to be more of a space rpg. I’m not sure what we’ll come up with, I don’t care as long as the game is lots of fun.
