LMMS Tutorial on Using a Free Autotune VST Effect Plugin
Learn how to sound like T-Pain or fix vocal pitch using GSnap autotune. Gsnap may not work/sound as good as ones you pay for but at least its free.

Don't know how to install VSTs? Read my tutorial on how to add VST instruments/effects.- GSnap - This one is easy to download, just click the Download GSnap link. You can change the key/scale and other settings.
How to add a vocal sample:
- Look at the Song-Editor, click
to add a Sample Track. - Click in the song playlist beside Sample Track to create an empty sample.

- Open the Sample list and find a vocal sample. Hold click and drag the vocal sample onto the empty sample.

How to use GSnap with your vocal sample:
- Click on the Sample track to open its effects window.

- Click
. - Scroll to the bottom. Select VST Effect: gsnap then click
.

How to make vocals sound artificial with GSnap:
- Click
. - Use settings shown in the following picture:

- Click
and choose the same key/scale as the vocal sample.
Add other effects to make your vocal sample sound more interesting:
- Chorus
- Delay
- Reverb
- Equalizer - I increased the high frequencies to make the vocals sound brighter.
*NOTE* I removed aas autotune because the aas autotune web page is down. I found another autotune plugin called AutoTalent, I havent tried it yet. In the future, I may update this tutorial to include AutoTalent.
