LMMS tutorial on how to use a reverse crash cymbal as a buildup or transition.
Reversing a crash cymbal:
- Add a crash cymbal sample to the Beat+Bassline Editor, click
then Clone This Track.

- In the Beat+Bassline Editor, click a crash cymbal to open the General Settings menu:
- Click
to reverse this sample.

Creating the buildup:
- Open the Piano-Roll for the reversed crash cymbal. Add a long note.

- Open the Piano-Roll for the normal crash cymbal. Add a note a couple bars in. You can also add a few notes layered at different pitches to get a fuller sound.

- Change the reversed crash note pitch until the reverse crash cymbal flows into the normal crash (the lower the pitch, the longer the note).
Add the buildup to the Song-Editor and listen:
- Click
to listen to the song with the crash cymbal buildup.
